Every student, every day, preparing for the future.
Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Derby Public Schools is providing updates and a variety of resources for our families and staff during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Our school buildings may be closed, but learning continues! We will continue to communicate with families and staff via Skylert, our mass notification tool, and post on www.derbyschools.com. Read previous updates HERE.

*Note: Our playgrounds are temporarily closed in an effort to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Please enjoy the open spaces on our playgrounds. While the play structures are closed, we don’t want to limit exercise/activity. If people wish to walk, run on a soccer field while following social distancing, groups of less than 10, any other Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and local guidelines/orders, the open space is there.

Transitioning to the Continuous Learning plan after Spring Break presented many creative innovations and challenges to meet the needs of all our learners. We've learned a lot from this experience and would like to learn about how things are going for your student(s) and what we can do better.  Your feedback will help us as we move forward to plan for the 2020-2021 school year. We are hopeful to be back in a regular school environment in the Fall, but we would like to be prepared for a variety of options.
